Under the motto “Doing good together”, the German Red Cross (DRK) and VITRONIC have launched an impressive blood donation event that can not only save the lives of many people, but also serves as a role model for other companies. The joint initiative focuses on social responsibility and combines the missions of both organizations to create a safer world worth living in.

For the campaign, five DRK specialists came to the headquarters of the global technology company to collect the blood donations. In total, employees contributed over 15 liters of blood. Up to 90 lives can be saved with this.

The importance of donating blood cannot be emphasized enough: Every donation saves lives. This was one of the central motivations of the campaign, which was carried out by the DRK with passion and professionalism. On site, the focus was on a sense of community, between employees, but also with the public. Blood donations are a long-term social investment that ensures that the blood supply in the region is maintained.

Both sides draw a positive conclusion:

As there are currently few blood reserves available, especially in urban areas in Germany, it is essential to work together with companies such as VITRONIC to ensure a sustainable supply of blood products and save lives.”
Martin Oesterer Head of Donor Relations Management, DRK Blood Donor Service Baden-Württemberg - Hesse

“At the moment, the baby boomer generation is the foundation for blood donations. However, they will increasingly need donations themselves in the future. Due to demographic change, we need “a broader base” - in other words, more young people who are consistently and regularly willing to donate blood. We are therefore even more pleased that we can count on partnerships such as this one with VITRONIC,” Oesterer continues.

VITRONIC also considers the campaign a success:

As a company, we bear responsibility, not only for our employees, but also for society. Campaigns like this show that we are working together for a safe and sustainable world - that is exactly what we aspire to."
Daniel Scholz-Stein CEO VITRONIC Gruppe

The campaign was also supported by City Councillor Löbcke (center). Matthias Pörner, CFO VITRONIC Group (left) and Dominic Johannes, helper and representative of the German Red Cross (right).
